There’s something magical about Derby night in Clayton.

Join United Way of Northern New York as we bring a little Kentucky spirit to the St. Lawrence River for a special evening at the historic Clayton Opera House in beautiful downtown Clayton.

Watch the Kentucky Derby on the big screen, break out your best Derby attire and enjoy great food, fun and North Country hospitality. From fabulous hats and Derby traditions to the excitement of the race itself, there’s plenty to celebrate.

And there may be no better setting for it. The historic Clayton Opera House provides a beautiful backdrop, while downtown Clayton and the St. Lawrence River add a distinctly North Country character to this classic Kentucky tradition. It’s an opportunity to dress up, gather with friends and enjoy one of the first big celebrations of the spring season.

But the Kentucky Derby Social is about more than the race. It’s also a celebration of community and the work happening every day across Jefferson, Lewis and St. Lawrence Counties. United Way brings people, resources and partners together to address local needs and create opportunities for our neighbors to thrive.

Most of all, it’s a chance to spend a memorable evening together while supporting a stronger Northern New York. Whether you come for the hats, the horses, the setting or simply a great night out, we hope you’ll be part of it.
