United Way of Northern New York (UWNNY) mobilizes people and resources to address community needs and bring about positive change in Jefferson, Lewis, and St. Lawrence Counties.  Specific activities include grant-making to trusted non-profit organizations providing vital services that align with community priorities, coordinating resources for the ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) population, and creating capacity building opportunities for partner organizations. 

UWNNY is one of more than 1,100 United Ways found across 37 countries & territories worldwide, each with its own identity, operating independently as a 501(c ) 3 organization, governed by its own board of directors, serving a designated marketplace and coordinating programs in alignment with the individual challenges / priorities specific to our home communities.
