Green Rockets Rising Before & After-School Program at Morristown Central School
United Way of Northern New York (UWNNY), in partnership with Morristown Central School District, is hiring part-time Teachers and Teaching Assistants for the 2025–2026 school year. These positions support our Green Rockets Rising (GRR) before and after-school program, part of the LEAPS School-Age Child Care (SACC) initiative.
We are especially seeking a certified Pre-K teacher to lead our 4-year-old classroom. Retired educators are encouraged to apply!
Position Highlights
- Start Date: Monday, September 8, 2025
- Schedule: Estimated 5–25 hours/week, September–June
- Summer Extension: Additional 16 days available in July (5 hours/day)
- Pay: $18–$30 per hour (based on qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a safe, enriching, and nurturing environment for children aged 4–12
- Collaborate with fellow staff to plan and implement age-appropriate activities
- Promote positive behavior, creativity, and learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree, teaching certification, or relevant child care credentials
- Experience working with children ages 4–12
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
