Celebrating a Legacy of Service: The Renee Beyer Community Development Fund
Some people leave a legacy that continues to inspire long after they’re gone. Renee Beyer was one of those people.
A tireless advocate for her neighbors, Renee devoted her life to strengthening Lewis County through compassion, action, and civic service. Though she passed away in 2013, her vision for a connected, vibrant community still guides us today.
That’s why we’re honored to announce the Renee Beyer Community Development Fund—a grant opportunity made possible thanks to the generosity of the Lewis County community and our partnership with the Northern New York Community Foundation.
This year, $8,500 in grant support is available to nonprofit organizations serving Lewis County. Grants will be awarded to projects that reflect the values Renee held dear: grassroots leadership, stronger communities, and improving quality of life for neighbors.
