United Way is always on the lookout for opportunities to help nonprofit professionals gain new skills, learn about the latest trends in community need or service delivery, and network with one another.
During 2023, we hosted the Jefferson County Homelessness Response Summit, partnered with the Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce on the Evolve series, worked with Jefferson County Community Services to dispel myths around mental health services, and sponsored the North Country Charities Symposium in tandem with the Charities Bureau of the NYS Attorney General’s Office.
We regularly facilitate Bridges out of Poverty and Workplace Stability workshops on request.
The Lunch and Learn United series is held virtually the first Thursday of each month with topics including DEI, cultural competency around the LGBTQ community, grant writing, and more.
