Join us for a full day Bridges out of Poverty workshop, offered in partnership with Northern Regional Center for Independent Living (NRCIL). Sarah Yerdon, Getting Ahead graduate, and Dawn Cole, UWNNY, will co-facilitate this introduction to the Bridges material that is sure to change your mindset about what it means to live in poverty.
Together, we will explore the definition of resources, building relationships, familiarity with the language of economic class, and the hidden rules of economic class, all of which will lay a foundation for the development of strategies to serve those in poverty even more effectively. This interactive training will provide an opportunity for collaboration and new ideas.
Bridges is for anyone who works with those in poverty, who wants to understand the environment of poverty or for policymakers and leaders in human service organizations.
