Tom Ruby, CEO of Bluegrass Critical Thinking Solutions, will provide several programs on strategic planning and critical thinking to north country nonprofits in November.
Ruby is a retired Air Force colonel who served three combat deployments during his 26-year military career. He was Associate Dean of the Air Command and Staff College and received his PhD from the University of Kentucky.
He continues to write and speaks globally on critical thinking, leadership, strategy, and morality in warfare.
He is currently an advisory board member of the Salvation Army in Danville, Ky., is a Finance Council Member For the Catholic Diocese of Lexington, and is a council member of the Boyle County Cooperative Extension Service.
Ruby will be the guest speaker at a United Way luncheon for nonprofit executives so they can help the United Way develop the November sessions for executive directors, senior staff and board members. Ruby will also be available that week for on-site programs for larger nonprofits.
The luncheon will be Tuesday July 28 in the Fellowship Hall of Watertown First Presbyterian Church, 403 Washington Street, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
